About MY OKIE HEART Pizza
My Okie Heart's Story
My Okie Heart Pizza was founded by two veteran families.
The name “My Okie Heart” was inspired by Michael and Susan’s decision to plant roots in Oklahoma — Michael’s home state — after his retirement from the U.S. Army. It reflects their love for family, community, and the feeling of coming home to the heart of Oklahoma. For them, “My Okie Heart” isn’t just a name — it’s a tribute to where their story continues and to the people who make Oklahoma feel like home.
Brandi and Will brought inspiration from their time in a small Italian town, where the local pizzeria wasn’t just about food — it was about community. Combined with Michael and Susan’s decades of military service and teaching, we turned that inspiration into something lasting for Oklahoma City.
Together, we traded uniforms for aprons and built My Okie Heart Pizza around three simple ideas:
• Great deck-oven pizza made with care
• Family and friends coming together over a meal
• A sense of belonging that feels like home
